I was thinking they were 5th...7th probably. Just weigh the dead one in. That's all!!. I wonder if they did other things like fish off-limits and such.

So they culled a dead fish? I guess you are supposed to leave the dead one alone, and cull the smallest live fish? Culling dead fish is against tournament rules. I think its also illegal in Texas.

That's how you are supposed to do it...throw back the smallest live one, keep and weigh the dead one along with your other keepers, take the dead fish penalty (one pound for Champs) and let the cards fall where they may. If they had done that, it probably would have dropped them a position or two but they still might have cashed a check without worrying about the cloud of a DQ hanging over them
