If you are off on Thursdays perhaps a trip to Lake Fork could be in your future. The Lake Fork Anglers fish every Thursday is the type of club you are looking for. Our 50 members fish as boaters and as co-anglers and are "seated" so as to not fish the the same other angler except maybe 2-3 times a year,
Our dues is cheap and the tournament are also so the payback is fairly low.
But is it about the payback, or about having an enjoyable day on the water with like minded anglers.
Our members come from all over and about half from the metro mess area. Like Arlington, Frisco, Garland, Corsicana, Houston, Farmers Branch and other places. Perhaps carpooling could be in your future,
We fish two different formats. Two weeks a month we fish the traditional 5 fish limit and the other two weeks we fish a MLF style format where every fish you caught 10" and up count including slot fish, That is because having two anglers in each boat allows us to measure, record, and release and so those between 16" and 24" count.
