Not as good as Ivie or a few other lakes in the area. Lots of folks I talk to at the ramp are struggling on Spence right now. When you find fish and someone sees you catch some expect to have to fend off a few other boats. Yesterday I got in a few heated arguments with guys that moved in on me and I mean 15’ from me to fish an area 10’x10’ that was holding bass.

Basically the fish are catchable they just aren’t everywhere. Most fish are post spawn and some are moving off the brushy flats, a lot of fish just aren’t reachable by boat yet. Water temp was 69 yesterday and mid-lake the Shad are starting to spawn. All that was chasing the spawning shad yesterday was whites. Don’t expect to catch 50 fish and 5 over 6 pounds right now.
