I enjoy listening to ballgames on the radio/streaming on the internet. Up until this season, it was easy. There was a website called freebaseballontheinternet with all the teams’ home radio stations and a link to the live stream. That website has been shutdown; I’m guessing by mlb.


10-25yo millenial/genzers don’t have the attention spans to find these games radio streaming on the internet. And when you do find them, if your cellphone pings the nearest tower outside the broadcast area, it stops broadcasting and you get a looped message that you are outside the broadcast area.

....and the games have gotten slower, longer, and more gimmicky with six pitchers a game and dramatic shifting.

I feel sorry for anyone wanting and needing to watch the chit anymore. Didn’t MLB just change the All Star site this year cause they are supporting the dumb dem’s in the White House because Georgia changed the voting laws or something? Communism at its finest right there (if that’s the case).

Oh, and the NFL and the NBA can all suck it. The only 2 sports I watch anymore are golf and hockey, go figure....

I have an MLB TV subscription and downloaded the app. Next time we should be able to get the games on my phone assuming we have at least a little cell signal.

The audio only would have worked last time... Not the video. Need high speed net for video but the audio should work if I have one bar.

Its $200 a year but you get every game (except Rangers and Houston... but who cares?!) Its well worth it to me. You can also choose the home or away teams TV feed and if you want you can select to watch the game but use the home or away teams Radio broadcast instead of the TV guys. *Sometimes these are the same esp. in smaller markets but not always.

I’m not paying for any apps just as I don’t monetize my 50 YouTube subscribers. I subscribe to the original philosophy/intent of the internet, which was a free sharing and discussion of ideas/creativity.

The beauty and charm of radio has always been that one has the liberty to contact the transmission with an antenna/receiver free of charge. Very few things as American as a youngster turning on the radio to listen to a ballgame.
