ummmm...they have been doing that since they started.....it is only for Heavy Hitters and the Cups.....nobody upset....like I said, check the history of MLF over the last two years...this is how they do cups and other special events. On regular stage events, the anglers wear what they normally wear.

This is a BPT event, and no, they didn’t do it last year for the same Heavy Hitters. Here some pictures from the time. https://majorleaguefishing.com/bass-pro-tour/gallery-big-bass-of-heavy-hitters/#&gid=1&pid=1

The photo gallery has Phoenix, Nitro and Bass Cat. Could be others I don't recognize. Maybe the hormone therapy is not good for vision.

I can understand the anglers being upset but it doesn’t effect me as a viewer. Tomorrow’s group is loaded and I’ll be watching. Could this be the last year we see all these guys fishing the BPT? If all of your speculation is true...probably.

I’m guessing they either had to choose one brand or there was a draw. A couple of the Nitros I saw today looked like they had a Hook 7 or something similar on the console.

Wheeler Defoe Lee Thrift Lucas I guarantee with a 40 man field and the amount of money they are paying out. None of them give a sh*t what boat they are in. And their sponsors are fine with it

I’m sure your right Dubee. The truth is none of us know who’s upset and who isn’t or if anyone is upset at all. Like I said, it’s all speculation.

It's happened since the inception of BASS. All running the same boat at the Classic. It's no big deal. Just Warren making up more bs

I think Big O has a valid point here. This is the first BPT event that they’ve used the Cup events boats/jerseys.
I also agree that the anglers might not “care” too much due to the amount of $ up for grabs. On the same note, I would probably be a little frustrated moving all of my stuff to another boat and not running my own equipment.
Either way I’ll be watching and routing them on.

Either way I’ll be watching and routing them on. Tour organizers that try to pull the sponsor “exclusivity” card have never fared well. The anglers care, and their sponsors deeply care, and are paying close attention. Why would a sponsor give anglers anything if their brands and logos weren’t going to be prominently displayed wherever the angler competes? I have a feeling this move wasn’t disclosed to the anglers until just recently, and that’s caused the uproar people ha e heard about. This is the kind of thing that can and likely will cost an angler sponsorship support.

Heavy Hitters is taking place of the Cup’s World Championship. That’s why they’re wearing the Cup jerseys and using Cup boats.
I’m trying to find out whether or not the World Championship purse will be included and if they’ll be packaging it all up and showing the Word Championship on tv as they’ve done the last several years.

Heard Mclelland say yesterday he had to transfer his waypoints over to the boat he is using, it looked like he had a 7 inch lowrance on the dash on a Z19, they must have been able to practice with their other equipment. Are they not allowed to use forward facing sonar on these boats?
