Please help an ignorant senior...

In my new home I will be cutting the cord since Dish cannot find a signal due to all the trees. My router is provided by the telecomm company.

I have seen ๐‘Š๐‘–๐น๐‘– 6 routers on sale at Wally World. Looks like they provide advantages...but, if my TVs do not have ๐‘Š๐‘–๐น๐‘– 6, do I gain anything. My cell phone is new and ๐‘Š๐‘–๐น๐‘– 6 compatible, but I donโ€™t think many TVs are.

Am I correct?

You are correct. The router and whatever device is connecting to it must both be WiFi 6 compatible to use the faster speeds. If not, they will default down the list until they find a speed that both can operate at.

what he said ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^

but, look on the back of your tvs and see if they have an ethernet plug (large phone lookin plug, like the dial ups used to use), if so you can get better results using it with what you have.
start there would be my advice.

I purchased Ubiquiti equipment for my home and to extend my wifi throughout the house. I will be extending the network to my detached garage and
out to cover the 2 acres.

This link is an example of some of the things you can buy. https://unifi-network.ui.com/wi-fi
