I have a Minn Kota Maxxum that was working fine this morning but after about 5 minutes when I went back to use it...it had no power. I've checked from the battery up through the foot controller and 24 volts there. I have yet to check power to the head of the motor. I guess that's what I'll start on in the morning. I welcome advice on fixing this issue. I have a buyer for the boat coming to pick it up Saturday and I want to have it in great shape for him.

did ya check the breaker? fuse?

sure neither is bad?

check ground and best to just redo it, clean connection and tighten good. most marine 12v problems are ground related.

He figured it out and I bought the boat.... Love it when a plan comes together.

Check the brushes, you’ll have to pull the armature out. It’s not difficult to do. You can get a kit for a 100 bucks.
