Not only would my wife have refilled the tank, she would have also run it through the car wash, then come home and tell me how much she hates driving my truck. This is exactly what my wife would have done also.

My wife drives a 50+ mile round-trip to work and back. Yeah, she hast to fill it up. Ha ha Mine too. I work from home. I guess that’s why she always switches cars, when she’s outta gas she takes mine.

My wife has told me that the only time she ever checks the gas gauge is when it dings for low fuel.

Honestly Jubs, you have not put your foot down with her about "filling up her/your tank," and a "host" of other topics/situations.
Because you have not "laid down the law," you may be a good man, but NOT a good or even "best" husband in the world.
Secondly, it's "principle," not "principal."
Thirdly, for those who still need it, it's "judgment," NOT "judgement."

At one point in High School my parents gave all four of us kids gas credit cards. My Mom and various sibling(s) would ask me to go fill up their cars and I did. Mom and Dad started to get on me wanting to know how/why I was going through so much gas; they thought I was filling friends cars. They didn't believe my side of the story.
I cut up my card, gave the pieces back to my parents, flatly refused to fill up anyone else's car and just paid cash to fill my car. It took a couple months for the truth to come out.

Broke my ex of that back when full service stations started going away. and she wouldn't pump her own gas. I left her car where it ran out of gas and walked back home.

We could be getting ready to go on vacation, seeing family for Christmas, or a road trip to anywhere, obviously have planned driving somewhere months in advance and as soon as we load her car with all the [censored] and kids, the first thing she says as she pulls out of the drive way is, "Okay, I just gotta stop and get gas real quick." and then after getting gas, "Okay, I just gotta go by sonic and get something to drink real quick." Usually by this point I'm looking for divorce lawyers on my phone.
