Buy the freshest roasted beans you can and grind them yourself. Use a burr grinder to get a better grind than the fast spinning blade type. I have a local, small roaster in Ft Worth that I use. He has about 40-50 different beans in stock on any given day and will roast as little as one pound for you. He also ships to anyone if you can't pick it up, shipping 1-3 lbs for the same fixed price via the USPS, 2nd day delivery. You might be able to find one in your area. Use a good pour over system or a French press as others have suggested. I use an old system some days with a Chemex Pot. It's been around since the 1940s and produces a great brew. On some days I use a Clever Dripper, which is kind of a hybrid pour over/French press. Using either of these will produce a great cup of coffee, but you will give up the modern day convenience of speed with a Mr. Coffee/Keurig kind of brewer. Rodak's?

I get a Bunn and it lasts 10 years then I get another on. I will admit that grinding your own beans makes a better cup of coffee but usually just buy Fogers Colombian.

Why does anyone want to mark their coffee? How exactly do you do that?

What is a coffee marker? Perhaps a Folgers scented sharpie, that would be nice.

I've been buying my coffee from Marvin for quite a few years. That guy knows everything about coffee beans and brewing coffee. He's also very knowledgeable about BBQ too!

I loved my Keurig. Could have my 1st cup in the morning within seconds. Also I used it for hot water for my oatmeal.
