Can't seem to find 'em this season. Dinks here and there. But lots of getting skunked, on great lakes too! (ie, Fork). Slumping hard. Not sure if the freeze threw everything off or what, but I can't figure out what the fish are doing for the life of me.

I have two tips for you. The first is try fishing more in the afternoon. The fish are more willing to bite after the sun has warmed the water and the boat traffic has died down. The second is slow down. A high percentage of the fish are not chasing moving baits at the moment. The lake is a week or two behind last year. This is only my observation. Others may have different results.

fish the windiest points you can handle, its not as fun but you will find fish

A good rule of angling philosophy is not to interfere with another fisherman's ways of being happy, unless you want to be hated.

You know that’s were I have caught all my good fish. I figured it has less pressure. Most of the windy days the coves that are calm are loaded with people. Now that’s just where I fish.. no wind I just pass. lol

I’d recommend taking my class. Getting your head right & “tuning up your swing” will get you back on the right path.
Also I recommend moving around more on the lake.
Check out the plugs & announcements for class reviews.

I'd definitely take Bigg's class. Just be careful who you introduce him to. Lol

Ever since Covid the lakes are just busy during the week, I remember going on a wednesday and maybe seeing a couple boats on the water now I see dozens,
Doesn't help everyone is moving to Texas either.

Fork skunks and slumps everyone. It's not necessarily you, it does that to all.

When the going gets tough scale down.. If you are worried about breaking off with lighter tackle, worry about that after you get bit.. Fishing is certainly humbling lately, but you are prob not that far off.. Find the best area you can find, point, rock pile, etc.. Cover is your friend.. Wind, clouds, mud lines, wood, etc are all forms of cover.. Anything that will break up the surface clarity will bring the fish up a little shallower water. Bird Blue skies and calm are your enemy.. I like the response about the windiest point, that is my kind of spot. Lastly, don't fish where you see everyone else fishing.. Fish where their boats are.. Chew on it, and best thing to do is go out and try not to worry about what you didn't catch. You might surprise yourself if you do something different, and find something others have overlooked. People that know me will see me doing the craziest things, but I sometimes stumble upon a piece of cheese every now and then.. I have gone out and procticed my casting many a day..

Cant get skunked if you catch a buzz 🤷‍♂️

Highly recommend shiner bock...or natty lights if you just wanna test the waters 🤔

Well I'm catching some on my lake but #'s are definitely down from what I traditionally catch this time of year, not sure if it was that deep cold snap or the covid pressure from this last year but lake is definitely... off.

Funk, because I am having to find bank areas to fish while my boat is still in the shop. Gonna check the status of parts next week. I can catch one or two most trips, but beating the bank from the bank during the spawn on lakes with limited access to prime water is a beating!
