My kid has a baseball tournament Saturday in Mansfield, and half the team has booked a hotel in Forest Hill. Is it a decently safe area or should Mansfield be better?

If it was me, I drive through forest hill and Mansfield every day, I would stay in Mansfield. There’s several hotels right along 287.

I'm thinking the same thing. It's not so much personal safety that I'm worried about. I just don't want to walk outside in the morning and find the contents of my truck missing, or just the truck itself gone!

I live in Kennedale and i won't do business in Forest Hill and i would NEVER spend the night there. My wife locks our car doors when we take the exit off of 820 S right by Apache Auto Salvage when we go this route coming home some times.

Go to Mansfield, don’t stay in Forest Hill. FYI, Forest Hill is basically a Ft. Worth south side borough. Especially if you’re talking about the Raddison on Alta Mesa. It’s really nice but your vehicle may be gone when you get up in the morning.

Guess it's changed a bit since the 1970's. That's where I lived while going to college and it wasn't bad at all. There was a dive bar, think it was called Pearline's, that I went to for a beer every now and then. There were some characters in that place.

Where do you live duke? We played in Mansfield a lot when the daughter was playing, usually just went back and forth from home in McKinney

Hickory stick BBQ or madeas soul food in Forest hill are both excellent.

If you cant stay in Mansfield about the next closest place I would stay is waxahachie......... there is a good chance you wont be killed in Forrest Hill but then again you might be.
