Hoping someone can help with questions about the main fuel filter inside of a 225 SHO.
I removed the three bolts holding the bracket around the clear filter housing. Also disconnected the wire that comes out the bottom.
Tried unscrewing the housing by hand and it won’t budge.
1. Should I buy the Yamaha fuel filter wrench?
2. Is it easier to use the Yamaha wrench when the bracket is still bolted to get better leverage?
3. I have the replacement filter. Do I need to replace any “o” rings in the filter housing? The motor has 100 hours.

Unmount the whole assembly, disconnect the lines, remove and drain the gas out. Put the assembly in a ziplock and put it in the freezer. Go drink beers for an hour. Take out and it will unscrew.

buy the tool if you crack it it will cost way more than the tool.

The freezer worked great. Still had to pop it loose wrapped in a towel and light channel locks. All back together now.
