While I don't think I'm going to be a fan of the dirt, I at least give the credit for trying to make some interesting changes. Just don't agree with taking a very popular track to try this experiment. Loved Bristol as is.

I was glad to see Austin got a race. They spent 400 Million to build it. They need to find all the high profile races they can get. Only thing that would make it better is if it were built in Arlington!

So Moto, do you think Keelan's race equipment is far superior to those he's racing against? Just wondering, you would think he has the best of the best equipment. Not too far fetch to believe you're watch a future Nascar Champion.

"The King" has spoken:

Richard Petty isn't sold on NASCAR's decision to go dirt racing.

"Dirt track racing is not professional, so we're going backwards. It would be like taking a professional football team and going back to play on a high school field."

Well, there you go. It was a stunt that backfired and may or may not work out tomorrow. Problem is, no will care.

Oh absolutely. In the two stroke class, he has some of the best engines that you can buy.

In the four stroke class, he runs a lefty Nitro Chassis, which I believe is garbage, but they like it.

I assure you, no expense was spared.

I aint paying those prices to watch dirt racing.. Those cars can't even check up and drift the corners.

I'll stick to late models and modified.

USMTS is coming back down to Vivian and Monroe in 3 weeks. May make a road trip.

Late Models and Modifieds are some of the best racing you can watch. I disagree with Petty that they are not professional.

They need to go back to their roots. Driving real Stock Cars and doing the Daytona 500 on the old track where it was half on pavement and half on the beach sand.

May you be treated the way you treat other people, today and everyday!

It’s funny when the trucks first went to Eldora they would get “dirt drivers”, like Bloomquist, Ken Schrader, etc to test and drive the trucks. Even last year Bobby Pierce was in one. Wish drivers like Mike Duvall, Black Jack Boggs, Larry Phillips, we’re still around.
