I agree that he is a great fisherman as I said in my original post but I still wonder how he would have finished if he had those fish that he lost in the grass. As I said, it is my opinion only and I'll still stick with my old baitcaster and 15 lb Izorline in the grass. I just wonder, in the top T's on Sam, how many spinning rods are used ? Come on now, be honest , how many ???

Never test the depth of the water with both feet.

I'm fairly certain he was fishing to his strengths, was in harmony with his instincts, and was confident in his choices......therefore he made the right call......he fishes differently, he probably isn't hooked up with the potentially winning fish to begin with and it's a moot point

We all stumble and make mistakes. When you stumble, do you want your brother to help knock you down or to help set you back on your feet?

Brandon Palaniuk won the Elite Series tournament there a few years back throwing a Neko Rig into brush piles he was looking at on his 360. High risk,

And then the locals hammered good bags yesterday in the same area on conventional tackle. To each his own though

It was risk reward I guess as he couldn't figure out how to get them to bite heavier tackle, it for sure cost him the win.
