We love HEB but have one complaint, why do most Mexican Americans that shop there have to have their whole family with them? 6-8 people in the checkout line, clogging up the aisles it get frustrating.

HEB is great!! Have one 2 miles away and do 95% of shopping there. Good meat and seafood plus best fresh produce. But they are proud of their meats! Signature Kroger is where I buy most of my beef. HEB will have select strips on sale for $7.99 and across the street I can buy choice ribeye, strips or t-bone for $5 lb most the time.

Reports are that they are building a store in Plano and one in Frisco. Will be open in Fall of 2022.
Never been to one, other than Central Market. What makes them so much better? Been going to HEB for over 40 years. Great store!

Never been to one, other than Central Market. What makes them so much better? meh, i wasn't impressed. dirtiest store I've been to. it's like central market married a kroger and had a baby. When we have been on vacation or traveling to other places and visited a HEB we are always impressed. They are so much different than the one we have here though. The one in Waxahachie is quite a bit better than the one in Ennis, it’s still good but Waxahachie just has a bigger store doing lots of volume, and good things come with a store doing a lot of volume- The Lufkin store was, at one time, the highest grossing HEB per square foot of any HEB. It was a small, dingy, dirty place that was stacked and packed.

We have a HEB Plus here in Burleson. To the OP just think of a super grocery store like a super Walmart. They have everything grocery wise and as mentioned their own brand (grown and produced by Texas farmers) of almost everything. Great meat market and produce, even stocks my wife and I favorite, Tuscan cantaloupe. They have plants, flowers, home goods, home decorations and clothes. The prices are usually cheaper but guaranteed cheaper if you buy HEB brand. A huge selection of beer and wine you can’t find at most stores. Of course a pharmacy too, like most grocery stores. What I like about the meat market is you have 3 choices on cuts of meat, cheap, choice and prime. It’s hard to beat their prime cuts of ribeyes, NY strip and tenderloin. And if you have deep pockets you can always buy wagyu. It’s overall a great place to buy groceries and pick up your favorite local college T-shirt to be a t shirt fan.

Never been to one, other than Central Market. What makes them so much better? Nothing !! WE don't really have a choice, it's Walmart or Brookshire Brothers, heb is slightly better than both of those. Never ever have I gotten so much bad produce as heb. No matter how well you inspect produce you cannot see inside. WE have had rotten potatoes not just bad spots on the outside but black and gooey inside the same for pineapples, there has been other veggies of poor quality. They have plenty of heb brand products but they don't carry all name brand products or they have shortages. I give them a c-. Kroger and Fiesta are both better.

HEB is great. Has been ranked the #1 grocery store in the nation for several years. Well stocked clean and they have great prices. One thing I like is they have coupons all over the store for deals. Only Shop HEB best prices!!

I saw a guy on the news complaining that they weren't building in the south Dallas food desert. If you had to choose between putting a store in Frisco/Plano or south Dallas which would you chose? They are in business to make a profit.
