they have property all over the metromess just waiting to build. I heard a few years ago they had a deal with Mynards (I think) that they would not enter the DFW area if Mynards would stay out of South Texas. That deal ended when Mynards was sold.

Reports are that they are building a store in Plano and one in Frisco. Will be open in Fall of 2022.
Never been to one, other than Central Market. What makes them so much better? meh, i wasn't impressed. dirtiest store I've been to. it's like central market married a kroger and had a baby. When we have been on vacation or traveling to other places and visited a HEB we are always impressed. They are so much different than the one we have here though.

I hope they don't enter this market. HEB is a good store but eventually tend to run all the rest out of town - ala San Antonio. I enjoy the variety and sales at the various stores we now have.

I had always heard that while I worked there too Ratz- In the late 80’s I think, we opened a SACK N SAVE (our version of a warehouse store) across the street from an H‑E‑B in Waco, it was not long after the founding Minyard folks had passed and the next generation had took over. They had pushed into Waxahachie and Ennis so I think there was a wizzing match starting. When we put that Waco store in HEB fought back HARD with pricing and such, we didn’t last but a few years there, and HEB was a big reason why. HEB is a very strong competitor with some pretty deep pockets, any other chains will be concerned if they decide to move up into the metro mess.

The one in Waxahachie is quite a bit better than the one in Ennis, it’s still good but Waxahachie just has a bigger store doing lots of volume, and good things come with a store doing a lot of volume-

Love HEB. Went to Austin last week to visit my wife’s dad. Spent $250 on stuff to bring home. We occasionally ride to Bellmead to that HEB

Most HEB's are very well stocked and clean. I prefer a lot of the HEB brand foods over name brand. They also have some awesome meal deals all the time. This..

Go into a H‑E‑B and see for yourself. It’s the only place we get groceries from.
