I managed to have the camera on for my third ever carp (well, sorta... It was running and sitting face down on my backpack when the fish hit  ) and wanted to share with y'all since y'all are the ones that got me interested in these fish. Great catch and video! That fight carp can put up never gets old. Ive been fishing since I was a kid but was always told carp were just trash fish, so I never pursued them, until I stumbled onto a couple carp fishing YouTube channels back in 2018. Been hooked ever since. Welcome to the addiction!

TexasRoughFishing, thank you! They definitely put up a fight like no other, even the small ones have made my Shakespeare Micro feel like a bendy straw. You could definitely say that I'm HOOKED!  TXMulti-Species, thank you too! I really need to get a landing/weighing mat to keep in my car, I felt bad putting the ol' girl headfirst into my backpack  glad I could get her back to her home though!
