The main group that wants to "control" firearms is the Left. The Left doesn't give a rip about anyone's life. They want control. They want the American people to be defenseless. It has happened too many times in history to be anything different here. The Left will want more and more laws and restrictions and eventually, when that doesn't work, they will want total elimination.

PS - the latest mass shooting in Colorado was in a "Gun Free" zone.

Yes kids need firearms education and it is available if the parent takes the time to enroll them.

As far as the above scenario a loaded gun should not be anyplace in a house unless the owner of the gun is present.
Having a loaded gun in drawer beside a bed is the parents fault. I have worked in the gun industry for 35 years and keep a pistol in a couple of places in the house. But when I am not physically present they are unloaded. Someone leaving a loaded gun when not around is asking for tones of trouble. Kids of course, someone breaking into your house while you are out and you come home only to get shot with your own gun.
It takes seconds to unload a gun and secure the ammunition and magazine and seconds to load it.

Retirement best job ever.

I would bet it's less than 50%.

Its less than 50 pct of the Senate and that is all that matters...

one of y'all wanting this new regulation to be implemented on law abiding citizens, please tell us of just one shooter that was considered sane at the time of the shooting.

I can wait.

I suggest the following

1. Requiring background checks on all wake boat and jet ski sales for all buyers (retail & private)
2. Tighter restrictions on folks with mental illness purchasing wake boats and jet skis.
3. Nationwide ban on the sale of wake boats and jet skis to people convicted of violent crimes
4. Barring wake boat and jet ski purchases by people on no-fly or watch lists
5. Required boat/jet ski safety and responsibility course.

Why back ground checks on all sales? Why can I not have a check done that is good for 6 Months? I could buy multiple guns in a period of time, then do another? I may be interested there, but checks on all sales is a registry, what do you tell them when they come to pick up your guns? You can't tell them Bob unless you did a background check on Bob. Then they arrest you for felony sale of a firearm.

It should require a court order to stop a person from exercising his/her constitutional right to own firearms. Period end of discussion, thank you for playing..

I second this motion and would like the death penalty to be considered for punishment

Take Chicago and Detroit out of the equation and let's see what the numbers look like.

Pay careful attention to what they want:

Take guns

Defund police

Reduce gun deaths recorded.

If you take the guns from the people and get rid of the police then you get less *recorded* gun deaths. See? If you change the way the problem is approched you can make it look like it was solved. Since our libby friends always believe the ministry of truth and the ministry of truth determines how the numbers are counted what could possibly go wrong? Remember, its racist to question the science.

Everything you listed here has literally nothing to do with anything anyone posted. You just fabricated all that. The "They" you are referencing is both democrats and republicans. (Read the article) The what "they" want was listed in items 1-4. Nothing about taking guns or defunding police.

What was listed were strategies that could limit access to guns by people who should not own them. That's it.

I have an aversion to lying rags.

My stance is all gun laws are unconstitutional.

Spot on. Why are gunshot victims so much more horrific than abortion?
