now we're talking. should be part of every curriculum. teach them early.

The US probably has the worst mental health care in the civilized world.

Let's start there.

No motive other than a discussion Bob. A person I respect a great deal (Dr. Peter Attia) posted that article. I read it. I found some of the arguments interesting. So I shared it here. That's it.

As a card carrying butthurt self-identifying old I think we should ban scary looking guns, bass boats, fishing rods(cause da fishes feel pain), houses over 2000 sq ft. and 4wd trucks. Oh and them smelly pit bbq rigs...they smell up my nice 'hood...:)

Seriously the idea of educating kids about guns is an excellent idea. The problem I see is that the soccer moms would be all up in arms if kids were taught gun safety. They'd claim we were turning their little biff and barbies into stone cold killers or something...:) Some of my best memories were going out shooting or hunting with my Dad. His eyesight was so good he could shoot the tops off coke bottles...:) We, my younger sister and I, were taught gun safety and proper firearms handling real young....to this this day my younger sister can still outshoot me with a rifle...much to my nephews delight..:)

Gun safety classes have gone by the wayside just like shop classes.

It’s really simple to me, and I haven’t seen any viable counter argument, what criminal will give a shizzle about more laws and regulations? Give me a solid response to that question and I will listen

Probably the same ones that give a shizzle about the laws that ban things like assault and murder.

can we start by breaking down "gun violence" by demographics and region?

lets find out just who is shooting who and work from there on what the reason is.

Pay careful attention to what they want:

Take guns

Defund police

Reduce gun deaths recorded.

If you take the guns from the people and get rid of the police then you get less *recorded* gun deaths. See? If you change the way the problem is approched you can make it look like it was solved. Since our libby friends always believe the ministry of truth and the ministry of truth determines how the numbers are counted what could possibly go wrong? Remember, its racist to question the science.

Nothing to add to the thread. Same views by the same players every time. Good luck to all. Just here to place the over/under on this being moved to the Bunker at 18 hours, 6 minutes, and 32 seconds. Prove me wrong!

Everything you listed here has literally nothing to do with anything anyone posted. You just fabricated all that. The "They" you are referencing is both democrats and republicans. (Read the article) The what "they" want was listed in items 1-4. Nothing about taking guns or defunding police.

What was listed were strategies that could limit access to guns by people who should not own them. That's it.
