I'd say George Jones but Conway Twitty is a close second.

I'd put Keith Whitley flawless voice, and Allen Jackson (my grandma used to talk about how Allen Jackson sounded like old country) in that argument.
G.Strait is no doubt top 3..Went to high school with his daughter and was good friends with the guy that was driving the car when she died. Sad deal.

My favorite KW song. RIP. Love Gary Stewart’s sound too.

George Strait, Alan Jackson, and Ronnie Dunn are my favorites. Willie and Waylon are not far behind. For female singers I like Allison Krauss.

Let's not forget Johnny Paycheck. How about Box Car Willie, does he count?
Ronnie Millsap. Seen Merle mentioned. Porter Wagner, now that is old school.
Here's a good one, Ray Price. Probably not the best but deserves a mention. Met him a few times while fishing Monticello with my BIL, come to find out Ray & my BIL were good friends. He had met Ray one weekend while fishing & then did some concrete work for him. They had lunch together every time he went to Monti. Never knew any of this until one day while filling up the boat this farmer looking fellow pulls up & asks "Where is Robert?" Who was in the store paying for fuel & food. When Rob come out of the store he introduced us, we all talked for a few minutes and left. Rob asks me "Did you know that was Ray Price?" I did not know, but was floored after he told me the story. That was time ago as I was just out of High School. 1982 ish. Good story thought I would shatre

Reality. What a concept!

I'm glad someone else mentioned Don Williams.

I could give you a top 8 or 10 maybe but no way could I name just one or even 2 or 3.

Having said that George Jones would easily be at the top of that list as would the other George, Conway, Willie. Although I think men dominate country music as far as easy listening for me I must throw Patsy Cline in my top 8.

Also I love listening to Mickey Gilley's music probably because I was a dimestore cowboy in the Urban Cowboy age. Classics

Advice? Wise men don't need it. Fools won't heed it.

Box Car Willie has a bridge named after him around Waxahachie.

Ya gotta add Mel Tillis in there somewhere.

Most mellow voice I've ever heard.

I'm glad there are wine drinkers in this world ..... it saves more beer for the rest of us.
