For some reason I am not convinced these are small Largemouth bass. They were caught in the Colorado River in Columbus Texas. Are these Guadalupe bass??

Was the jaw line in front of the eye, with their mouths closed? If so I’d say Guadalupe bass. If it was behind the eye, nothing but largemouth have that jaw.

Looks like the jaw line is in front of the eyes on the first photo? I want it to be a guad! haha. Does eye color have anything to do with it?

It's either a spot or a quad. I'm not as familiar with the quads but am 100% sure it's not a largemouth.

I fish the LoCo below Austin and it is loaded with Guads. The jawline looks like a Guad for sure, but a Guad also has a tooth patch on it's tongue. They're fun little bass to catch!

Similar to a spotted bass then I would assume? Need to keep fishing this and catch a larger one!

They are either spotted bass or Guadalupe's. I'm not familiar enough with the area to be certain on which. But they are definitely not largemouth.

Spotted or Guads, Guads have red eyes especially this time of year.
