I was wondering what everyone is using for topwater, rod, rod power, action and length, along with reel, reel ratio and should I run braid or mono??? In the past I have just used a 7ft medium moderate, with 15lb mono on a 7.5:1 reel... this would be for spooks, pop-r’s, soft plastic frogs, whopper ploppers........TIA

Took you longer to type that than it would have taken to type your favorite topwater rod and just answer the OP's question If you take a look at my answer in the other post you would see that I use several different ones depending on the technique, therefore it was faster to direct him to all the information given by myself and others. Maybe next time you will read a little more before you decide to post a negative comment.

Small top water go with Shimano Expride 6'10" M Bigger - walking bait go with Shimano Zodias 7'5" MH
I have both those rods and they are the real deal at a middle of the road price.
