I am having my impellor replaced next week and saw a You Tube video about checking certain things at the beginning of the summer season. This part in the picture is what I found to be a problem. It had a plastic sleeve on it that was brittle and most was already broke off and laying in the bottom of the motor. Any of you guy`s ever check this or had it replaced? Go to 6 minutes in the video for reference.

Yep, they get old and brittle. Call boatman, he'll send you one.

My boat mechanic said he would take care of it. Thanks.
