 Softening soft plastics

I’ve noticed that most the soft plastics I fish with have all gotten harder. Other than boiling them is there a way to soften them up?

Boiling plastics was a bigtime secret, not really any more, they talked about it on smallmouth crushes youtube channel, that guy would polish off a bottle of wine and start dropping stuff he shouldn't have and Eric would start giving him WTH looks. I've done it with some worms I had that were tougher like the old creme scoundrel.

May try this to a few packs of my Strike King boot tails. ive had a few packs that wouldn't wobble at all.
