Desperately need heavy rains. Fishing was very slow this morning and crowds were huge. A few fish caught here and there. Very slow. You can no longer walk in the old way. It has been fenced and posted heavily with no trespassing signs. You must walk along the bottom down closer to rocky creek. No need to go till we get more water and flow.

i was there today, i got there around 4 and left at 6, i caught 4 crappie and one white bass. I was at the Nolan last year after the heavy rains, it was incredible to see the run. I wanted to use this thread to get a day-to-day report of the Nolan so people are not wasting time traveling. like I mention I was there today caught a couple. guys had a few on stringers but they were out there for hours, which we know white bass fishing you should be limit out quickly. There are fish to be caught cause of false running but we need some flow to really see the bite. I plan on going tomorrow after the storms, I will post as soon as I get there so everyone knows if the bite is on or not but I'm watching the weather closely. If it doesn't rain over by the Nolan i will not post, but I encourage anyone else to post who is there so we know.

Thanks for the update. I was there most the day on Friday and only caught 4. Definitely the run hasn't stated and I don’t think we had enough rain last night on the area so it might take longer for the run to start.

We just drove past. About 40 vehicles parked. Didn't see anyone coming out to ask.

Have a friend that was there this morning still very few fish. Flow did not go up at all after brief rain. To many people no reason to drive that far for weak bite. But it's spring break and the crowds will be thick.

I was there today I launched at Nolan River Park and there was a good crowd of people some on boats and some fishing from the banks. I went up the river as far as I could go on my boat and tried fishing for a few hours and caught only two sand bass. I spoke with some people and they were catching very few sandies. After trying for a couple of hours I gave up and I switch to catching catfish.

Maybe just maybe we will finally get some rain tonight.

It is so frustrating to see the school and pull your bait through the center of them without a single hit. Guess they have other things on their mind right now.
