 Lake Dunlop Dam Repairs

Does anyone have information on the Dam Repairs on lake Dunlop. Haven't heard a thing, was just wondering if and when that lake will be up and running again.

Since GBRA is the general contractor, it may be years before work is started. They are too busy designing a new office building right now.

According to a KENS 5 news report back in October the cost for the repairs will be between 15 and 35 million dollars. A vote was to be taken on November 3 to approve the plan for the repairs. According to a GBRA story back in December, a loan was secured for 40 million dollars to repair the Dunlap Dam with construction to begin February 1, 2021. The repairs were to be completed in August of 2023. I do not know if the repairs have started.

The repairs were to be completed in August of 2023. I do not know if the repairs have started. That 40 million loan is to be repaid by the property owners with a tax. The property owners on Dunlap sold out all the other lakes. There isn't enough property value to do the same to the other lakes.
