Went there on Saturday and saw 4 gates opened. Some people did catch big fish.

Do you have a link to the website? How do I know if the gates are open? Assuming fishing is no bueno without them releasing water?

Do you have a link to the website? How do I know if the gates are open? Assuming fishing is no bueno without them releasing water? This will tell you. Look at the “currently releasing” and when the gates are open here it will say 1,000-25,000 cfs.

lavon doesn’t generate power so gates are only open when it’s appropriate to draw down the lake. Since it’s flood control that’s typically when the lake is high and after downstream control has subsided.
