I do not like my surge brakes. Never have. I'm currently on my 3rd and last UFP actuator.



So, I'm currently looking at the brake actuator above.
My 1st concern at first glance is that flange that comes down and you run the 1/2in bolts through to bolt it to the tongue.

Has anyone installed a bolt on actuator? If so, is it as strong as the original tongue of the trailer?
Any concerns going to an aftermarket brake actuator like above?
