I have a question about Bastrop lake. Google says the park's open at sunrise and it costs 5$ to get in. Is there someone there you can pay, or do you have to have exact change and leave it in an envelope, or can you get a pass online like the state parks do now?

There's an honor box. While the launch is open 24/7, the booth opens later. I think you can get an LCRA yearly pass though not sure.

And we're talking Lake Bastrop and not the state park.

I know at the North Ramp there is an Honor box AND a machine that you can use a credit card with. Normal cost is $5 person. There are some exceptions available, too. 65 and above is only $2 person. Don't quote me on this but I think that a year long pass is about $100 (?) and it drops like in half for 65 and above,

BTW - the last time we were on Bastrop, we saw a very large goldfish or Koi. Couldn't miss it. I am guessing goldfish, Bright, bright orangish gold.

Crazy.

Update: it cost me 7$ at the machine to get into Bastrop north shore park. I selected adult with one discount since I'm a veteran. Maybe it would be more if you don't pick a discount.
