How many get tired of being corrected?

Never bothered me.
If it makes there (their) day better, so be it.

People who correct grammar on an internet forum got beat up a lot on the playground.

Sale and sell or my 2 pet peeves.

"I need to sale this" No, you need to sell it because it is for sale.

"This is for sell" - No, see above.

What I have come to learn is that people tend to spell like they talk. Factor in a southern accent and you get the mix up on Sale vs Sell.

My .02 cents

what difference does it make on a public forum, did you not understand what they were talking about?

That’s funny.

Realize it’s a curse and that we hate it just as much as you do. If your mother taught grammar growing up it was a constant classroom and everything was subject to correction. I purposefully now speak incorrectly so I don’t stick out like a sore thumb in East Texas. The farther east the journey, the more you need to butcher it up and drop consonants.

Gonna head out fishin’ here in a bit.

I try my best to keep my grammar and punctuation as sharp as I know how. I'm always sending out emails and other correspondence to my customers (upper management and business owners). I don't really care if someone else uses bad grammar on a fishing forum. Whatevs, doesn't bother me none, nam sayin'? I do think it's important to distinguish between a typo and just being ignorant of the English language. If I see something misspelled, I'll look at the keyboard and see if it there was a possibility that it was just an errant key stroke. You do you and I'll do me.

It doesn't bother me. It tells me my post are being read by someone. I feel like a motivational speaker via the internet.

I have a "grammar police" badge.

I wear it proudly!

Addendum: At least 8 of you above my post had "grammar/spelling/punctuation" mistakes.
Addendum II: When I make a mistake, and it is corrected, I appreciated the officer's assistance. I do not wilt under the heat of bright lights. IN65

You totally missed the point. It is not that I don't understand what they are saying, it is that they are not using them properly. It makes people sound less educated than they are, and I see very well educated people doing it. As I said. It is MY pet peeve. Doesn't mean that it has to bother you.
