Fins are ok but you must remember we are in Texas and we have snakes and gators.
With kickers you can see where you are going esp. around stumps and creeks.
Esp. in the spring when it seems snakes are really aggressive. Fins have advantage
I have both. If I am going a long way in open water I will use fins (remember you are going backwards). Then when I get to
fishing spot I will go to shore and put on kickers to go from tree to tree looking for crappie and snakes.
