You can read about it on the FAQ page. Interesting and spreading fast. Hopefully they'll make the coins usable in a year or two. Follow this link https://minepi.com/riverrat1 and use my username (riverrat1) as your invitation code
PB flathead 34.5 lbs - I know it's small but it was still the record for Lake Travis when I caught it! PB Blue 58.5 lbs jugline 43.5 lbs on R&R which was the other Lake Travis record when caught.

However, currently I struggle to use my cell phone for phone calls. Can I leapfrog the phone call making skills and just start doing cool stuff like coding and mining for bitcoin?

Update - The Pi crypto (mining using your smartphone) is now beta testing their wallet. So it's becoming more legit by the day IMO. If interested use the link below to check it out. Follow this link https://minepi.com/riverrat1 and use my username (riverrat1) as your invitation code. If you have a smart phone that can load an Ap it's as easy as a click once per day. I'm doing it for fun. Now that they are creating/testing a wallet shows they plan to make Pi actually tradeable and hopefully worth something.
