I caught my first Carp last night on Hubbard! I finally got one, and it was really FUN! I loved the noise from the drag when it tried to leave. I know its probably not all that big for you guys, but I dont get to catch to many of this size. I have always heard that they are fun to catch, but didnt realize it would be that fun!

Thanks yall! I actually caught this one on chicken liver. My friend caught another one the night before that, and hers was twice the size of mine. But I guess it doesnt count because her husband who likes to move at 1000 mph lifted it out by the line and the line snapped and it dropped back into the water. It was huge.

Carp are great and the buff over on Ray Hubbard get big....you're in a good spot. Lavon ain't too shabby for big buff either.

Congrats on the first carp.
I guess now you can see why some of us are so addicted to catching them hehe. I know I'm addicted to the sound of screaming drag!
Sorry to hear the one twice that size was lost, but it just goes to show you...or rather him, that you can't horse in a carp!
Any way to re-size the picture so we can get a better look at the fish? Might be able to give you an idea of what it weighed.

I had it on photobucket and made it smaller. Once you make it smaller photobucket wont let you make it bigger. I will re upload it and that way its bigger.
It may take a little bit cause photobucket was being irritable last night.
