..For me it's the fact that Turner Classic Movies is showing RoboCop tonight... On Turner CLASSIC Movies!
Good for them though, they have really stuck to their ethics and not cancelled or edited any of their films to match modern snowflake sensibilities. Last night for example they showed Gone With the Wind complete and unedited (albeit with a disclaimer at the beginning, which I can live with).

Half of my staff had never heard of Pulp Fiction, very few had heard of Pearl Jam, and although most had heard of Nirvana almost none of them could name or sing a song from them.
Also my explanation of the disk man that used to have the cord with the cassette tape attached that you would plug into your tape deck so you can listen to CDs in your car... I don't think they even believed that was ever a real thing.
Man... That thing sucked. Good riddance.

I don't go out to eat much, so all the changes at restaurants make me feel old. I was meeting my family at a place and got there first, the girl asked for my phone number. I said, "How long is the wait? If I have to go home and wait for a phone call then just forget it." She wanted my cell phone to page me of course but that was the first I had seen of that nonsense and I had left my phone in the truck anyway. When I told her I didn't have a phone she looked at me like I was an escaped lunatic.
Went to another place about this time last year for a nephew's birthday and they had some thing where when you're ready to leave you pull up something on your phone to tell the valet so they can have your vehicle ready. Couldn't make it work.
This past week I went with my mom to a restaurant and we were sitting there waiting for menus. Asked the waitress...no menus, just a QR code on a card. Couldn't make it work, and I do website and database work for a living.
