I got my new set of Lithiums in and I'm going to install them today. I'm using my Minn Kota Precision 460 charger. With my other set of batteries I could just leave them plugged in all the time and the charger would recognize when charged fully and just maintain (or at least thats how I believe it works). Is the that same with these lithiums?

I don't think so..But I would contact the seller/manufacturer of the product first.

From Battery university: Overcharging, discharging to zero, and hot surroundings are enemies of lithium batteries, shortening cycle life, sometimes severely. Probably best not to leave them plugged in, regardless of charger type.

It depends on the brand of Lithium’s you buy. I have the Ionic brand and they have built in shut off once they are charged. And you can use the MK460PC charger set to AGM for the lithium’s. So, assuming your using 3 IOnics for the TM and a AGM/wet cell for starter, you can set the MK460PC to the correct setting for each battery type and you’ll be fine. Remember though, not all Lithium brands are equal and other brands may not have the Technology built in to provide the Auto shut off.

Thanks for the reply. I do have Ionic 54AH for the trolling and the 125AH for the electronics and starter. I noticed that once they are charged, they do go into standby mode. I may just put a timer on extension cord just to be safe. I love the BT feature on these. IT helps a lot.
