So it's finally time to retire a few old greenies and a 200E-7 or two. I love those reels and purposely did not buy any models after the 200E-7 because I heard they weren't as well made as the prior Curados. The 200K is within my price range and looks to be the most recent Curado. Are these as good as the greenies and E-7's?

I have 2 DCs and they are great. But you may want to go into a store and hold the reel to see how it compares to the old curados. I will be buying a curado k for my medium heavy set up.

I also have a 200e7 and a Bantum. I recently got 2 Ks and they have so far been great. So smooth and the smaller profile is what I think i like the most. Recommended purchase.

Short answer is no. They’re not as good. But, they are ok for an average everyday reel. The clutch has broken on a few people. Not mine. Mine work ok. I have four of them. For whatever reason, I just don’t like them that much. I’ve related them to techniques I don’t use often. Punching, Texas rigging, etc.

I've replaced my 200 e-5's with 13 fish concept a's. So far they have been great. Can catch them on sale different places for good prices. I like the increased drag when the need arises.

I have 19 of them and I love them. Great workhorse reel for me.
