I assume CC. He said they had 12, 1 gallon freezer bags, full of fillets.

Since the water is high I think I know where they, and probably every other bank fishermen are fishing.

I have been told in the 2-3 years they have been doing this tourney they have not weighed in any blues.

TxCatfishGuide is correct - last 2 years of tournaments w/ over 600 entries no Blues weighted in! That is 36 hours of tournament time mutliplied by 600 anglers - 21,600 hours! But lets be conservative and say the anglers only fished half a day each - that is still over 10,000 hours with no Blues weighted in!
I hear of people catching blues on Fork but they must not be very easy to catch or these people could be getting at least $500 a fish (or more) fishing this tournament.

has anyone on this forum caught a Blue cat on Fork?

Blues on Fork are normally back around 30 ft in July on steeper mainlake points associated with some timber or stumps and a channel close by. With a cooler june, that pattern hasn't set up just yet.

There are also some cats still either spawning or protecting eggs as of this weekend, could be fry also, but didn't see any.

I believe Charlie, Bazztex, also fished Fork recently and commented that he pulled a 9-10 lb cat out of a tree stump and a second cat came out right behind the first one. He gave area he was fishing when he encountered them. Tom Redington also posted me about seeing some cats still spawning, and what I saw Sunday morning before the winds kicked me off the lake confirmed alot of cats are still shallow. I didn't see any fry, so I assume they are still trying to spawn.

I have caught some blues at Fork while crappie fishing. Nothing huge but several on minnows. I just assumed the 10lb winner last was a Blue cuz thats a Big Channel. Alot of good sized channels out there. I went last year and couldnt break the 5 lb mark everything was 4.5 or less, but going to try to make it out there for Sundays event after a RC Crappie tourny on saturday. I guess all I need to do is go Crappie fishing to catch my cats fish
