They put these on their FB page every couple of days. Pure comedy gold.

#whileyouweresleeping One of our diligent deputies conducted a traffic stop near a local motel. The “thirty-something” driver admitted having no liability insurance. He then presented an expired driver’s license while being outwardly quarrelsome. The motorist’s girlfriend came out of a motel room and commenced shouting profanities at the deputy. The motorist’s mother joined in the fray. Mom called 9-1-1 and stated an intent to shoot the deputy. Another deputy arrived on the scene.
Mother, son and girlfriend were booked into the Wise County Jail, where each cell is fitted with a TV. Family Feud, hosted by Steve Harvey, airs daily on KDFI. A question might be, “What should you do when stopped by the police?” The number one answer, “Cooperate!”

I would think that all Law Enforcement agencies would not tolerate this because of legality issues that will arise from such events. City of Fort Worth just recently fired a couple of employees for posting on social media.

Why? What is bad about it. They do not name anyone, they did not say anything remotely controversial. They have done it for several years now and its always a fun read. Thy even make light of themselves sometimes. I would argue it does more for community relations than it hurts as people get a kick out of reading it.

I love it, and have nothing bad to say about it. I have several LEO friends who are warned by their superiors to the point they don't even use FB. I'm sure somewhere down the line a situation came up and some how a law suit came about. Even if the lawsuit isn't won by the City the financial implications are overburdening to a City's budget.

Old cops and fire fighters have some really good stories.
I've heard some from back when the big airport first opened up.

I am not sure what is wrong with the post. I have my opinion of the OP, but that's irrelevant They did not state any names. Police reports and jail records are public records. The Fort Worth Officers posted racist comments and they should be fired. Please clean that trash out of my line of work.

Agreed. If they disclosed personal information about the suspects it would be different. But this is great!

Wise Co has it going on. Judge Clark is probably one of the best County Judges in the state.

The City of Fort Worth PD has social media accounts. Hundreds of departments, if not all, around the country have social media accounts and a lot of them post a crime log (which has been done in newspapers for decades). This is an official account with someone managing it. It wasn’t a rogue employee using their personal account.
