 Yamaha f70 speedometer tube

Iām about to change my water pump impeller. Last time I did this, I had a booger of a time hooking the speedo tube back up. Since I can use gps for speed, can I just plug the speedo tube, therefore making the water pump impeller replacement much easier ?

YES YES YES.
Boat speedometer is about as worthless a gauge you can get.

I pulled my boat speedometer out and replaced it with a 3ā am/fm radio. Perfect fit and now I got tunes! Lol
