Hey guys i need sum input on shallow water bay boats not real knowledgable on these.... any types, pro or cons, makes, models any info will get put to good use....This will be my first bay boat so i dont want to spend alot of money... I would like to stay under $17500... used boats are fine if not preferred. I want about a 18' boat and run shallow but still move pretty fast... Let me know anything guys

I'd buy a used flat bottom, and put the money into a good engine. I like the blue wave super-t. It runs real skinny.

if you are looking for the ability to run pretty shallow and still not get beat up in the bay you might look at a tunnel vee style of boat. there are a bunch of texas boat makers that make tunnel vees: shoalwater, explorer, el pescador, baysport, southshore. used should be no problem in that price range and you would be close to new for a couple of the manufacturers i listed.

look on the shallow sport website in the used boat section, the 18ft boat they have with a 115 will run in inches of water and rides very dry. we fish out of a 18ft shallow sport with no sides and its amazinly dry, rides great, and will pretty much run on wet grass
