We always have a few 13+ caught here and there. It's the Ivie guys whacking so many that makes this year seem like there has been a giant fish explosion. In reality the rest of us are catching about as many as usual. I agree - this is a normal-ish year outside of the Ivie madness.

I posted on another thread that the big fish from Ivie would have likely not been discovered had it not been for a few guys with mad skills on the new Live SCope technology. I personally am happy anytime someone taps into a new technique and uncovers fish that most of us have missed. I have always maintained there were big fish that lived offshore their entire lives that never came to the bank, even to spawn. The fish recently caught at Ivie may have never seen a lure or at least not in the last 5 years.
Patrick Walters did it on Fork in the last BASS event by beating the second place guy by 30 pounds. I applaud these young anglers for what they are doing. Good for them.

Every 13+ bass caught past 9 days at Ivie were directly related to Milliken Fishing. Milliken reached out after the 16.4 and the rest is history. Every lunker caught Livescoping and on A-rigs. Nothing wrong with it in my eyes. Cold front definitely helped but the Jones kid is still out there guiding for $1000/day. He’s posted he has thousands of messages for folks wanting to book LS lessons! Quick math says that’s millions of dollars! Can’t make this up..
