BASS is hurting theirselves with all the breaks and commercials. I prefer bass master but when they go to those long breaks I would switch to mlf. MLF is like watching NASCAR, the last lap is all ya need to watch. BASS definitely has the best announcer crew. The mlf guys are a beating to listen to.

LOL @ Steve Kennedy, he is STILL using old greenie curados, how long to those things last?! I wonder if he is also towing with a 2002 Toyota Tundra They are indestructible. The only reason I quit using mine and sold them was because they are so large compared to today’s reels.

Seminole Wind, just a few things... First off, many of the commercials running on FOX programming, aren't BASS sponsors. That's FOX partners getting that inventory during the live programming. You'll notice this by the fact that Guarantee Rate is title sponsoring a number of Elite events this year and I'm sure they're not all to thrilled that the first commercial that ran out of a break was Rocket Mortgage... see the issue here? In one commercial run you had Rocket, Honda, USAA, Amazon and Acura. Do you think that Toyota is thrilled with this? Be careful before you assume that these brands you see paid BASS to play, because it's very likely they paid FOX for overall delivery and they're getting dropped into the BASS programming. So none of your points are valid here, at all. Second as SAKS mentioned, the quality of a sponsorship is determined by the revenue, the relationship, the activation and the term. So as an example, a long term deal from Toyota for either of the leagues, is far more valuable than a "one off" or series of small airtime buys from another brand. Period end of story. Lastly, you are the LAST person that gets to decide these things because your comments here since you arrived have proven nothing but your overall lack of understanding of this space. It's strange to me that you've somehow bamboozled a small group of people on here into thinking that you've got any real insight. But feel free to carry on until your next ban. I never said these were “BASS Sponsors” - and do recognize many of the advertisements are bundled working through an agency of sorts to be placed in the best markets. I presume, but do not know for sure that there is some type of revenue sharing between BASS and Fox, but that’s besides the point. The point being is whom ever is in charge of managing these bundles of advertisements are using the “viewership numbers” and other marketing data to make their purchasing decisions. Something you’ve seemed to question in the past, and I would hope you agree these bundles of advertisements would not be paying Fox Sports if they were not confident in the “numbers”. And you’re right, the quality of the advertiser or sponsorship is determined on multiple factors... but I think we can agree that all those you mentioned and obviously noted as being present in the BASS programming are a notch or two above mad dog lawn mowers or Wisconsin sausage, otherwise we would see their advertisements amongst those of those being played during the BASS programming. Advertising is expensive, and the higher tier advertisers must be comfortable with the product BASS and Fox are putting on air, otherwise they wouldn’t be spending the money. One doesn’t have to be a back room marketing hack to have a general understanding of how things work.

That's just between FLW and BASS Maybe my favorite pro, he just has a God given ability that many don't have. He is fun to watch. Seems like a great guy to be around. Humble.

I have never liked Mercer as a MC, he is more of a TV show host for a fishing show, facts of fishing is what he does best. They could go to 5 fish catch/weight/release on the water and wouldn't miss him a bit.

Looks to be a good line up for tomorrow’s final. The good decisions made last year are being rewarded early for a few guys. ;-)

There is a great video with him on his BASS Bio page reviewing his win on Clear Lake in California. Had #122s !! He's done well all over the country. Just seems to catch fish no matter what they're doing or where they're at. Really likes targeting big fish. I fished with him on his home lake (Lake Martin in Alabama), preparing for an old Red Man circuit tournament. He is a great guy. Humble and very willing to explain anything you ask him about. Will be quite a challenge for him to make up #8s tomorrow.

You know you’ve been watching to much fishing when your wife calls a fish landing violation on Gussy for dropping a fish on the carpet. My wife would have called it as well!

Final day LIVE on Fox Sports. Will the Canada Gussy hold on to his 3 day lead? Pay close attention to the quality of the advertisers that decided to spend their advertising budget dollars to market their brands during this Bassmasters tournament!

Yawn....it's pretty much over. Actually one of the more boring events. Maybe if Gus struggles early something can develop.

Fog delay on day 4. It has to be driving leader Gustafson who has caught them early. Already a hour late on take off. The majority of what he caught on the other days was early.
