I got one of these 200 dollar reels and its not working like advertised. I tightened up to where the lure wouldn't even fall and it still back lashes. Anyone else tried this turd?

I got excited about it when I first saw it and then some people said Daiwa has one so I am leaning towards getting one of them. I have 2 Pro-Ti reels and one of them works flawlessly and the other one is a backlash machine no matter how I set it up.

Contact Lew’s. I had a Tournament MB that backlashed no matter what I did. Sent it in. They replaced some parts and it works like new. No more backlashes. They fixed it fast.

Reel should be here today, they said that they replaced the braking system. So Im just waiting for the mailman to bring it its taken forever. I sent my hummingbirds in on a monday and they were back the next monday news is a little slow

well got it and tried it kinda works but a lot better then it was i need to practice I've only tried it in the pool so with more room it maybe better

I have two of the Pro SPs and they work as advertised. You WILL still get backlashes but they are much easier to get out since the spool is so shallow. There is not a reel out there I cant get to backlash under the right circumstances. The Daiwa PF Tatula Elite is a nice reel as well. I like the way it pitches, low and steady, but it's not a "skipping" reel. If a dock is high enough I can pitch under easily with the Daiwa. If I need to skip I pick up the Lews. BTW when I take my kids fishing they are amazed at how quickly I can get a backlash out. I remind them it's from lots and lots of practice of getting my own out.  3 backlashes per trip, 52 trips a year for 30 years........that's a lot of experience.
