I assume that you're talking about Austin, Texas's Town Lake....
Lots and lots of good fishing in Austin Town Lake. Great LMB, even stripers, decent catfish, good bluegill and my favoite, it's the best trophy Carp water in Texas.

I believe that Towne Lake in Mckinney produced a 12.98 lb bass. The guy caught it on a spinnerbait, weighed it, and called TPWD. Don't quote me on this, but I think that they came to get her, found out she was a hair under 13, but took her anyways. I remember the story from the Dallas Morning news, I just don't remember all of the details. I've slept since then. It seems that I remember the guy saying he had also caught a 10 out of the same spot.
Sorry for the lack of specifics, hopefully someone else might know more.

Yes there is fish in Towne Lake in Mckinney. My son has fished there many times. He has caught some of the largest crappie I have ever seen. I have caught bass between 1 lb and 4. Some days are good and some weren't worth going. I haven't been by there since all the rain but I am sure it is full. Most productive area I have fished is on the right side of the lake about 1/3 ways to the back. If you go into the first parking lot off the access road walk on the right side of lake until you get to what looks like a little cove. More of a cut than a cove. There is some type of structure there that holds bass and crappie.
