BPS/Cabelas is not about tackle. My wife will go with me to either, she enjoys browsing and shopping, looking at the boats, etc...we don't leave either for under $100 ever. Those stores are a fun place to go and oogle at things and spend a fun afternoon just goofing off with family. They are about the experience and most people buy a little something while they are there. When I get serious about buying tackle, I buy at Walmart, then Academy, then order online from small lure builders like Finch or some of the small tackle shops on here, and then TW or Amazon. If I need something right away or it is something where the price is the same everywhere like shimano reels, I will pay for the convenience factor and buy at BPS.
See you on the lake and have a great day!

When senkos were $8.79 at BPS, Academy had em for $6.29 and Field and Stream were $ 6.24.
Then BPS dropped theirs to $7.79 and F and S went up to $ 8.99 with Academy now at $7.29.
What in the wild world of sports pricing is going on?

TW over BPS, but I like Tackle Addict more. I like Tournament Tackle also, you can get baits in bulk there where you can't at other places.

BPS / Cabela's... I personally am glad they are both still in business... I would rather shop / buy at either one before Academy, Walmart, etc..
Require a whole lot of luck...

After Johnny messed up Cabelas, I don't shop at either one.

Seems like we were complaining about Tackle warehouse a few months ago. These type of posts are funny. I guess so many need something to complain about. Its a sickness for sure!

Tackle warehouse is no deal since they started collect sales tax. Even with their sales, they are still high.

Tackle warehouse is no deal since they started collect sales tax. Even with their sales, they are still high. I believe the state forced that. You get taxed on everything bought online now no matter where it comes from.
