I was talking to by BFF last night. He is a marketing manager at the Nugget.
His tips;
- The strip is dead mid-week. It used to be conventions that kept Vegas busy on weekdays Jan-March. Those are no more. Strip is a ghost town except for Fri-Sun
- If you want $5 Black Jack or Craps get to a local place. They have all the $5 tables you want. Any Stations Casino, Southpoint, The Santa Fe, Red Rock, Suncoast, Sams Town, The Orleans, are good choices. That extra unemployment is keeping the locals places popping he said.
What about the Cannery? I hate that place. But yeah its another option. Hate is a powerful word. Surely you don't "hate" that place. No I do hate it. Me and my BFF got robbed their back when it first opened like circa 2003 or 2004? The staff and security could not have given two F's. It was ghetto then and although its been a long while since I lived in Vegas I am sure its still ghetto. Its North Las Vegas yall. Actually... come to think of it. YES Ratz and RJ should for sure go to the Cannery. Its a great locals spot because they pay out so much. Insider tip. Go late at night, wear your nice watches and be sure to act like your tourists. Which should not be hard. Ask loudly questions like "Where is the Freemont street from here?" and "Can yall really get weed here? Just like that huh?" and flash lots of cash. Then get very drunk and stumble out a side door like at 3am. That should up the value of this blog.

Like RJ said this place is dead. More than half the shops/restaurants are closed casinos are empty. None of the Vegas sights are out and about the pix opportunities have been almost zero. Do you think you’d have greater success finding hot chicks to photograph and post up if you spent more time trying, and less time whining about the difficulty? Almost zero? So there's a chance!

To Dan’s point, I saw the absolutely most smoking hot call girl get picked up there (the cannery) by her pimp or what have you. I was smoking my morning cig waking up to go to work.
