Yesterday in Arlington was really exciting. I had my yearly check-up with the cardiologist and discovered I'm still alive and well. Played about six games of Trouble with the Ratz' offsprings. Ratz called and I dusted off my horse racing handicapping skills. He and Ron were in a sports book and needed some advice on a few races. Gave them the top 4 horses in the last 3 races at Turf Paradise. They must have lost because I never heard back from them. Fixed a meal here for the first time in a week - pork chops with hasselback potatoes. Was in bed by 10:30 p.m.  I feel like not only are you carrying this blog, but you’re also getting the short end of the stick. Cooking, cleaning, taking care of the kids and the only time you get a call is for more help and don’t even get an update on your advice? You’re like a single mother! This is despicable behavior by Ratz, but I’m more interested in your updates because, well, you actually update. This is what Grandpas do

Including the word ‘epic’ in the thread title was unnecessary. Driving to the Grand Canyon and complaining about the lack of $5 table games is not epic.
Ron, can you please salvage this trip/blog? You have been Ratz'd, again. Blogging would interfere with my intox plans and I just can't allow that to happen.

I was talking to by BFF last night. He is a marketing manager at the Nugget.
His tips;
- The strip is dead mid-week. It used to be conventions that kept Vegas busy on weekdays Jan-March. Those are no more. Strip is a ghost town except for Fri-Sun
- If you want $5 Black Jack or Craps get to a local place. They have all the $5 tables you want. Any Stations Casino, Southpoint, The Santa Fe, Red Rock, Suncoast, Sams Town, The Orleans, are good choices. That extra unemployment is keeping the locals places popping he said.

- If you want $5 Black Jack or Craps get to a local place. They have all the $5 tables you want. Any Stations Casino, Southpoint, The Santa Fe, Red Rock, Suncoast, Sams Town, The Orleans, are good choices. That extra unemployment is keeping the locals places popping he said.

Somehow, this is worse than the “live” blog from Yellowstone. Yep, this whole thing is like the Las Vegas blog version of that chili pic RATZ posted. Might as well have allowed a BCBassCat ate up with hernias to go.

Like RJ said this place is dead. More than half the shops/restaurants are closed casinos are empty. None of the Vegas sights are out and about the pix opportunities have been almost zero.

Like RJ said this place is dead. More than half the shops/restaurants are closed casinos are empty. None of the Vegas sights are out and about the pix opportunities have been almost zero. Do you think you’d have greater success finding hot chicks to photograph and post up if you spent more time trying, and less time whining about the difficulty?
