In the 2008 Presidential election in Texas, Republicans won by 12%, in 2012 it was 9%, in 2016 it was 6%, and in 2020 it dropped to 2.5%
If the trend holds, the next cycle should he the one that turns Texas blue!
Nationally, over half the number of children under the age of 15 are minorities. Let that sink in

They haven’t been a red state gimme. The voted for obamalamadingdong his first term if I remember correctly.

Several other states have permits. Texas isn't the only one. 18 states now have constitutional carry. it's trending.

From what little I know about politics, Indiana has become a very conservative red voting state. Kinda like an Oklahoma but in the Midwest. I couldn't tell you how many times since being in Ohio, don't get caught in Indiana with even a joint. They're surrounded by legal states. Ohio is medical. Illinois and Michigan are recreational. Kentucky farms a lot of hemp for CBD. Still don't get caught with anything in Indiana. They ain't playin'. That puts them a little higher up on the conservative scale than Oklahoma now.

I disagree. conservative doesn't mean controlling someone's lifestyle choices. it's about freedom FROM government.

Does that mean that they don't need training to carry a gun? I think that we do it better by requiring basic gun skills and knowledge of the law to carry a gun.
if they didn't know this information before they decided to go buy a gun they don't need a gun.

In our CC class, our instructor said if it were up to him, 5 out of the 50 in our class would pass. He went on to say that the state of Texas wants our money so everyone in class WILL pass today. Next thing he said was "sign here" your license is in the mail. He did fail a few, like the guy trying to load his magazine by putting the ammo in backwards.
