Abel my bird boy in Argentina gettting blind ready for afternoon shoot....we joke about the bird boys can take a machete and build a house for you if you gave them enough time...this blind is beside the road along edge of a large roost area which consists of thick bushes and small trees most of which have some sort of thorns on them....the shells are 20 gauge #7 shot made by R.D.Caza an argentine shell manufactor located in Tucuman,Argentina....I'm guessing the shells are 1250-1300 FPS ...really like the #7 shot and I would shoot them here if they were available in USA....we rent guns from the lodge which makes it much easier going through customs plus saves a lot of wear and tear on your guns.....I usually swap back and forth between a beretta 20 gauge auto and a Beretta over/under...last 3 years I've shot a beretta over/under in 28 gauge about half the days and really like it...afternoon shoots typically last 2-2 1/2 hours and you can easily shoot a case (500) of shells....

Shoulder get sore?

Are there any lulls where you can sit for a break or are the birds always flying?

I've never had a problem with sore shoulder but some guys do and wear an extra recoil pad....important to wear shooting gloves because the barrel is going to be hot if you accidentlaly touch it...

the area we hunt typically there are no lulls...you rarely go over a minute without numerous birds in range and this lasts 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 hours in the morning and afternoon.. ...every 30 minutes or so,I hand my gun to my bird boy and tell him to shoot while i take a 5 minute break....
