Recommendation to place to stay at Ivie with ramp and restaurant I’ve stayed at Concho Park and can’t say enough good things about the hospitality and customer service. It is the farthest option away from the dam and clearer water. Good food at the grill Elm Creek is more popular and closer to the dam There’s also Sportsman’s Lodge and a couple of smaller motels. Concho, elm and sportsman is all I’m aware of, where are the smaller ones at?

Coleman has a couple I think but all those towns are 25-30 miles away.

Ivie was pumping out good fish the last few months according to the sharelunker site
When I am not fishing I am thinking about fishing. And mostly what I should have done differently my last trip! #Brockstarama

I’m no biologist, but based on the photos I’m pretty sure that is NOT a smallmouth. It appears to be a “Meanmouth” or what is a cross breed between either a smallmouth and largemouth, or more commonly a smallmouth and spotted bass. It’s evident by the faded blotchy lateral line, which smallmouth bass do not have. I am local to Table Rock Lake in Missouri and these Meanmouths are somewhat common here. May pick up a couple in a fishing season. If not already being assessed I would recommend submitting pictures to a fisheries biologist to confirm. I’ve never seen a meanmouth that size and considering how uncommon they are, that’s an awesome catch! Congrats!

I had a 5.32 a few years ago and looked the same. Mine was checked out and was a smallmouth. There are not any spotted bass in the lake and it would be extremely rare for a smallmouth and a largemouth to crossbreed. Color of fish has a lot to do with color of water and color of bottom. Boulders and rocks on the bottom at Ivie are almost white.

That's a huge bass but I don't think that is a pure Smallmouth. Nice catch either way!
